                   12/24/07 AT 14:33 HOURS CHIEF 69-B CALLED DISPATCH AND REQUESTED SPECIAL SERVICE 69

                    TO BE DISPATCHED FOR A VEHICLE ACCIDENT STANDBY. THIS CALL WAS THAN UPGRADED TO A

                    VEHICLE RESCUE WHICH BROUGHT RESCUE 69, AND ENGINE 4 TO THE SCENE

TOYS 4 TOTZ COMES TO POTTSTOWN BY THE UNITED STARTES MARINES CORPS.

THE MARINES FLEW OVER 900 TOYS INTO THE POTTSTOWN FOR THE FIREMAN OF THE PHILLIES

AND THE EMPLOYEES OF KIMBERTON BASED TOTAL RENTAL

TO DELIVER TO THE NEEDY OF THE BORO.

Details: Chief 69-5 reported heavy smoke showing from a two story 300x75 commercial building in an old industrial complex. Command requested the second alarm and placed numerous master streams in service. The third alarm was struck for heavy fire through the roof.

THE VOLUNTEERS OF THE PHILLIES SPENT MANY HOURS CLEANING A POOL FOR A SWIM CLUB IN

WEST POTTSGROVE

                                                         

 

4/8/07 - At 9:33 hours Station 69 was dispatched to 368 High Street for a reported
structure fire. Units went on scene with smoke showing. Engine 69-6 reported heavy
fire to the rear of the building. Ladder 69 went in service with the main stick to the front of the building.

The 2nd alarm was struck and crews went in service
with handlines. The fire was extinguished several minutes later and extension
overhaul and investigation was done. 69 units cleared around 11:43 hours

Lighting Struck the firehouse almost a year ago. Work is being completed to the roof about 75 ft high

This building was completely burned out and the Phillies assisted Boyertown in keeping this fire contained.

The Phillies in Philadelphia

The Phillies attended the Philadelphia and Pottstown services for fallen Philadelphia firefighter Edward Butler. Phillies firefighters that attended the service, also dropped off a fruit basket to the members of Engine 8 and Ladder 2. Phillies members felt it was the least that we could do to comfort our brother firefighters and  the Butler family.
